New circulation pump and control valve for primary school in Malesici
During our stay in September 2019, we were approached by the new director of the school from Boljanic, where the Warmte voor de Kinder foundation has realized new heating. He asked us if we wanted to meet Dutch people who also regularly worked with charities in Bosnia.
During this introduction, we found out that these people regularly carry out construction activities, such as renewing toilet areas or replacing a roof. They then come with a group of 7 to 8 volunteers and usually get the job done in a week. Initiators are Alex van der Slikke from Verdouw Bouwgroothandel and Maarten Brak from Stalent. There is a good chance that we will work together more in the future.
Their contact and interpreter is Indira Randall and she asked me if we could find a chance to replace a large pump and valve in the school where she teaches that these would not come through the winter. Last year, the municipality replaced the large 350 kW wood boiler, but is not giving at home now. It is a primary school in Malesici, a town in the federation, about 6 km from Gracanica. This school has 280 students and ± 30 teachers.
After requesting the costs, we decided to take this up and everything is now running satisfactorily.
